CLIENT & CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL VIDEO PRODUCTION
We recently completed the production of a testimonial video for our client Roche Sequencing Solutions which involved filming with the Precision Medicine Centre in Queens University Belfast. We were absolutely chuffed to be asked to work on this project which involved gaining an insight into the terrific research work being carried out in one the UK’s leading clinical laboratories.
Our client, Roche Sequencing Solutions make next-generation sequencing simple and accessible enough for routine use. By accelerating clinical research, streamlining workflows and expanding assay menus, they are broadening access to genomic data and lowering barriers to routine use.
Production of the video involved filming with David Gonzalez de Castro, co-director of the Precision Medicine Centre (PMC) of Excellence at Queen’s University Belfast and Peter Steward, scientific lead at the centre. The PMC was the first research centre in the world to install an AVENIO Edge system making it the perfect location to film a customer testimonial.
The Precision Medicine Centre of Excellence (PMC) at Queen’s University Belfast is a new clinical laboratory bringing together high-throughput genomics, digital pathology and big data analytics in a fully integrated fashion. The PMC aims to accelerate the translation of potentially relevant diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic findings into clinically actionable information by applying state-of-the-art technology in a clinical laboratory environment. Their partnerships and collaborations with industry, academia and healthcare organisations maximise the potential to capitalise on the value of integrated clinical and biomarker information to improve patient’s outcome.
The Videoworks crew visited the PMC at Queens and filmed interviews with David and Peter as they discussed their activities and experience with the system. We gathered a significant amount of b-roll footage within the facility showcasing the laboratory facilities as a whole before we honed in on the AVENIO technology itself. The coverage gathered of the technology showcased the equipment in action using dynamic macro and micro footage gathered by our director of photography.
After the filming phase was complete the footage was ingested by our editor who set about creating a first draft assembly that could be delivered to the client for initial feedback. The post production process included the introduction of music, titles, colour correction and audio mixing and drafts were regularly shared with the client to get feedback and input. As with all testimonial videos we will always defer to the client when it comes to final decisions on the specific messaging being delivered as they are the foremost authority when it comes to knowledge and insight into their own products.
Once a final edit had been locked and approved the completed production was shared with the client for showcasing on their website and social media platforms.
